Hope 4 Autism

Our Mission
Empower Individuals
with Autism through
Vocational and Social Opportunities.

Our Story
In the fall of 2011, I came across an article in Parade Magazine that would change the course of my life. It told the story of a young woman with autism who was aging out of school, leaving her parents uncertain about her future. That story deeply resonated with my husband, Dave, and me. As godparents to two incredible young men on the autism spectrum, we understood the challenges that came with navigating adulthood. With a background in special education, I felt a calling—a conviction that there had to be more opportunities for teens and adults with autism.
By 2015, that calling had turned into action. Dave and I, alongside Jessica Grunewald, founded Hope 4 Autism, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with autism through vocational training and social development programs. Our mission was clear: to provide hands-on work experience and cultivate essential social skills, helping participants build confidence and independence.
Since then, we've celebrated the graduation of 67 individuals from our vocational training program and 14 participants from our PEERS program. With gratitude, we continue this journey, trusting in the path God has laid before us. The work is far from over, and we look forward to the growth, impact, and lives yet to be changed.

"Hope 4 Autism is an amazing organization that I feel grateful to get to work with each year.
I’ve been a proud supporter for over 10 years and I truly feel that I get more joy from helping them than they get benefit from my sponsorship. They have amazing people supporting an amazing cause and are a true asset to our community."
Testimonials
Mike Harrison,
Parkland Chapel
"Hope 4 Autism has revolutionized the way local families, who have children on the spectrum, can prepare for adulthood. Before this ministry opened its doors, there was virtually no training for autistic teens in our area to help them transition into the workforce and adjust to life after school. Hope 4 Autism has provided pathways to employment and self-sustenance for those in their program and a community of support and encouragement for the families involved. On top of it all they are Christ-centered. Everything they do is within the context of eternal worth and purpose. I cannot be more blessed to support them and partner with them."

"It is an honor to support the services of Hope 4 Autism. Our family knows firsthand of their splendid work with this special group of people in our community. They have blessed us, so we consider it a delight to back them as they continue to be a blessing to others."
